Welcome Hunter's Hill Hawks
We are happy to see returning swimmers and excited to welcome new families and swimmers. We look forward to a great summer swim season as a member of the Rocky Mountain Swim League.
We are a member of and governed by the Rocky Mountain Swim League (RMSL). This is a recreational league consisting of 18 teams split into three divisions: A, B and C. Placement within a division is determined by numerous factors. Hunters Hill is in the C division and we will swim against five teams during the regular season. RMSL rules that most directly affect swimmers are:
1. A swimmer must be a current member of the pool for which they are swimming as defined by their Homeowners Association by-laws.
2. The age category in which your child will swim is defined by your child’s age as of June 1st of the current year. Swimmers are 18 years or younger.
3. The League requires swimmers to participate in at least 10 practices and 2 regular season meets to be eligible for Prelims and Finals.
Our eight week season begins in mid May with the first day of practice and will conclude in mid July with the Rocky Mountain Swim League finals and our end of season awards ceremony. This year we will have five dual meets with two home meets and three away meets. Additionally, there will be stroke clinics, team dinners and social events throughout the season. For our younger swimmers we will offer the Minnows program for those swimmers who are comfortable around the water but may not be ready for competition. The purpose of the Minnows program is to ready those children for their first swim meet.
We are excited to introduce our coaches, Connor Andrew, Emma Laura, and Sam Korn. All of our coaches are neighborhood residents and current or past members of the Hawks swim team as well as high school, college or club teams.
Our team is successful because of the hard work of our dedicated parent volunteers, without you our team would not function. We appreciate your time, talent and enthusiasm as you support our swimmers. Please continue the tradition that has brought together Hunters Hill families for over 30 years and volunteer!
